Our Weekend...

Friday: Kayden had his 18month check up. He got 2 shots and was not happy about it at all! Poor baby!!! He weighs 27.5 pounds. He is doing really well, and the Dr said he's very healthy and right on track of where he should be except for the eating. He is really bad at textures so what he will eat is very limited. We try new foods with him daily and it usually ends up on the floor or he screams until you take it off his tray. If you stick it in his mouth, he spits it out. One of these days, it has to get better... right??
That night, Mike & Mona came over and we had dinner and hung out. Fun night!
Saturday: Bruce's parents came out and took us to lunch and we took them for a little ride around to show them the area. Thanks for the lunch and the company, we had lots of fun! We also had a birthday bbq for my dad over at my sisters (Allissa and Justin's). His birthday was at the first part of August but since he is never home, saturday was the day. We had lots of yummy food and then sat arond and talked and watch the race. It was awesome to see everyone.
Sunday: Not much happening today. I pretty much spent the afternoon painting. One more day and I think I will have it finally done. These tall ceiling are killing me! oh well... it's looking so much better, it will just be nice to have it all done.

Happy Birthday Brady!

Happy Birthday to Brady! He is in Texas so we really don't get to see Brady too much but... we still think about him alot. Bruce will be going out to see him in a few weeks, so hopefully they can do something fun for his birthday.

Legs

Kailey will be really embarrased about this if she finds out but it's one of those times that I'll want to remember... if I don't write it down, I will forget. :)
Everyone that knows Kailey will probably know how embarrased she has been getting for her hairy legs. Yes, she is only 7 years old but they are bad! I felt bad for her last night so I finally gave in to her and we shaved them. It was funny to both of us! It wasn't something I thought I would have to do for her for quite a long time... She is loving having smooth legs now, and she doesn't feel like a "hairy boy" anymore:)

Missing tooth...

I picked up Kailey from school today and she had a tissue held up to her mouth and it was bleeding. I thought she was hurt but apparently she just had a loose tooth. Things were fine after that until dinner when she bit into her chicken nugget and kind of started freaking out that her mouth just felt weird. She ran up stairs and then came running back down with her tooth in a tissue. This tooth was by far the easiest of all the teeth she has lost! Normally it's this huge ordeal of she wants to pull it out but that it hurts and then she sees the blood and freaks out more. ugh!!!

Anyways! Another tooth lost for Kailey :) She is so very excited for the tooth fairy to come tonight... that should be interesting. The tooth fairy finds it hard to sneak in her room these days!

Happy Anniversary!

Well it seems like the last couple of months there has been alot of people with a Anniversary that i've read about on the blogs. Today is our 2 year wedding Anniversary, and 5 years since we have been together. We got married on the same date as the day of our official first date... that wasn't planned but makes it easier to remember :)
So... How to sum up the last few years??? Things are awesome! I really did marry my best friend and I love Bruce to death.

Trouble...

So... a little innocent boy and a brand new box of Fruit Loops... need I say more???

I was up painting (still!) and Bruce was watching Kayden :) He went out to water the garden and was only outside for a minute when I hear Kayden shaking something and giggling like crazy. This goes on for a few minutes so I go down to see what is making him laugh so hard...

He had cereal all over in his hair and the rest was all over the floor... He thought it was pretty entertaining :) All I could do was laugh with him... and go get daddy and show him what his son did.

New Floor

So... I just realized that I haven't posted pictures of our new kitchen floor. LOVE IT!!! Bruce and a couple of his buddies put it in last week, it is so much better then the crap floor we had before. I love everything about our house... except that kitchen floor. Now, I just need to finish painting, and my brother (you know who you are) needs to get his butt over here and put in our molding and new rail. Soooo exciting! It will be like a brand new house!

Park City

Tonight we went up to Park City to play with Bruce's youngest brother Brian and his family. They come out this time every year, so we have started a little tradition to go up and have dinner, usually at Bandits and then go back and swim. It is always so much fun and the kids love it!

We had a great time as usual! They are the only family on Bruce's side of the family that has kids around the same age as us so we get along SO well. We miss them already! We are planning on heading back to California to their house for Thanksgiving this year and also going to Disneyland. Yeah!!! Can't wait!!!

Family Gathering...

Today we had a family party up at Grandma and Grandpa Merrill's house. Brian and Lisa's (Bruce's youngest brother) Family is out here from California for the week so we all got together to see them. We had tons of fun and LOTS of great food... I think I ate more today then I have all month. Yummy!
Kailey and Logan went around taking pictures of everyone. Kailey had my camera and Logan had Mandy's camera. There are alot of funny pictures so I thought it would just be easier to put them on a slideshow instead of trying to choose which ones to put on here. Enjoy! :)
