Happy Halloween 2008!!!

Happy Halloween everyone! We had a great day today, it was busy but great! We went to the Halloween parade at Kailey's school first thing this morning. It was crazy as usual but fun to see all of the kids.

Pics of Kailey at her parade... we heard lots of comments from people saying how cool her costume was. She didn't even look like herself :)
Kayden before the parade running around.
pics from Kailey's class party. We made spiders out of ding dongs, played games and made ghost spidersKayden getting his costume on. He was too excited about it in the beginning....
But once it was on and he saw himself he was ok with it.
My 2 cute kids!!!
Just after doing some treat or treating
Our little family
We invited Grandma and Grandpa Merrill to come out for Halloween. We had dinner and treats and took the kids trick or treating. Lots and Lots of fun!!!

Crazy Corn Maze

Yesterday I took the kids to the corn maze and they both LOVED it! Kailey read the map and was in front the whole time and Kayden just pretty much ran after her giggling the entire time. He had so much fun! There were 10 didn't numbers hidden in the maze that you needed to find and once you found them, it had a paper whole punch with a heart, star, circle, etc on it so it showed you had actually found the number. Tons of fun! We ended up finding them all and won a price at the end. Most of my pics didn't turn out because my camera is having troubles, but this one turned out cute!

yummy KitKat's

Kayden had another haircut today, he looks so handsome! He did really good this time and didn't really freak out as much as the other times. Yeah!

Today was also his first time trying a KitKat.. isn't he so brave? :) i'm thinking that I'll start covering veggies in chocolate and maybe he'll eat them that way...

Climbing Higher Award

Kailey received the "climbing higher" award at school today. She received it for her "excellent reading ability, which is awesome! They announced her name over the intercom and then sent her a about 10 other kids from other classes down to the library to get their award and to have their picture taken. They also put their name up in the front of the school that showed everyone that they received the award and what it was for. We are so proud of her, she has always been a great reader and has really done great in school! Good job Kailey!!!

I will have to post pictures later... my camera had a water accident this morning so i'm not really sure if it's going to make it. Bruce took pics but i'm not sure how to get them off the camera :)

First Dentist Appointment

Kayden had his first dentist appt today. He pretty much hated every bit of it, but they made it quick and easy so he wasn't being "tortured" for too long. The dentist said that his teeth all look good and he is doing great. He said we need to get rid of the binky before he's 3... so the way I look at it is I still have over a year before I have to take it away :) It will probably take me that long to get him over it. He is a binky boy!!!

Crazy Busy Month!!!

It has been a really crazy month and I haven't really had time to blog. Work has been super busy and it seems like we have something going every day now. Here are some things that we have been up to lately...

I got to help with Kailey girl scouts this week and they made the cutest spider. It is made out of a small pumpkin that they paint all black, has pipe cleaners for legs and then the little eyes. So cute! The girls LOVED it! (Robin you're so smart :) )

This is a pictures of Kailey's

This year it seems like it has been hard to find cute costumes for babies. We found Kailey's weeks ago but Kayden was a hard one... so I decided to make his. Yikes! I should of known I was in trouble when the pattern called for 36 yards of ribbon. It is turning out pretty cute so far, now lets just hope he wears it and doesn't freak out when I try to put it on him. He is going to be a lion this year. I've been trading off on sewing this and also the many, many mittens that I'm sewing for the humanatarian project at church. Now I know why no one else signed up to do them.. they suck to sew!!!

I also some how got volunteered to do jr achievement for Kailey's classroom... not sure how that happened, but when I went in to talk to the teacher about it she asked if I would be room mother for their class. I apparently have a hard time saying no because I walked out of the class that day a bit overwelmed. I'm trying to plan their Halloween party and I only have 2 mom's that have called me so far. Do parents not volunteer in their kids classrooms anymore??? I don't get it.

Kailey is doing really well and is loving dance, school and girl scouts. She is at that age where she still likes her mom and we have fun hanging out with eachother. She is a funny girl!

Kayden is still loving wiggles and is starting to say a few more words. We have so much fun just watching him run and explore new things. He's very entertaining. :)

Bruce is still loving the Harley... he has been driving it more the last few weeks to his appointments. Might as well get some long rides in now because soon it will be snowing and it will have to get put away for the winter.

Well, that's about all we have been up to lately... soon it will be Halloween. This year has gone by way too fast!!! Hope everyone is doing well!

Kayden's puppy

Kayden got this puppy back at Christmas almost a year ago... but he is just barely getting around to loving it. He pulls this thing around all day and all night. I think it was the best $6.00 i've ever spent!
