2 year check up

Kayden had his 2 year check up with his Dr today. We were hoping for no shots but you never know if they come up with a new one by the time they go in. Luckily, NO SHOTS!!! He is doing pretty good and growing fast! He is in the 80% for height (i'm not so sure about this one because the paper was quite straight when she measured him and he was moving around.) 75% for weight and of course the big one 95% for his head! He has the "Merrill" head :) Thank you Grandpa Merrill for passing on that gene :) The Dr has double checked the measurement.. but today I saw a note in the chart that the measurement has been double checked so they realize he just has a big head and nothing is really wrong with him. It's quite entertaining to see the nurse and the Dr write it down and then look over at the notes every time.
Overall, he is doing really well, and then only thing he suggested was to have his big sister stop talking for him and let him try to say things for himself... Kailey is sometimes a little too helpful with her brother. But, i'm glad that is all he had to say. He is healthy and growing and that is all we care about! No more Dr visits until he's 3. Yippee!

It's getting warmer...

It was some what warm outside so I took the kids out and let them run. Kayden got a new bike for his birthday so we let him take it out and try it out on the side walk. He loved it!! We were out for quite a while before he decided he wanted to go in the house. Hopefully the weather starts warming up even more now so we can go outside, the kids both love being out there!

After we got home. He found his blanket and binkie. I came downstairs to see him curled up looking at a book :) So cute! I think he got a little wore out with all the running around!

Happy 2nd Birthday Kayden!!!

Kayden turned 2 today! He had a great time playing with all of the kids! We had pizza and salad for lunch and then had cake and ice cream afterwards. Kayden got a lot of fun things for his birthday and eventually started to like opening his presents. Thank you to everyone who came and helped us celebrate Kayden's birthday. We had a great time! Happy 2nd Birthday Kayden!!!

Fun Weekend!

I have my 2 nephews here this weekend with us while my sister and her husband are back at the Daytona race.. (so jealous!). Anyways... We are having a great time! Colton and Kailey have kept busy playing the Wii, watching movies and playing on the computer. Kayden and Garrett have been busying playing with everything else :) They are very busy little boys! They have their own little language and it's very funny to listen to them. One will say something and the other will just laugh. Who knows what they're saying... they are probably planning how to break into the pantry to get the cookies or trying to find the M&M's while everyone is sleeping. They have been super good kids this weekend!

Kailey's class Valentine's Party

Today was Kailey's class Valentines party. We had a ton of fun. And, I actually think this is the most volunteers i've had help me with the parties! We played Valentine bingo, valentine memory, decorated cookies, and then we decorated heart magnits. The kids seemed to really have fun and so did the parents that came to help. Happy Valentines Day!!!

This day has snuck up on me way too fast! My baby is going to be 2 in just a few weeks! I was looking back through his baby pictures and can't believe how fast time has gone! I wish somedays that it could just go by a little slower... I can't believe it's already been almost 2 years!!!
