New Years Eve

We didn't do alot of New Years Eve this year. It was just me and Bruce and the 2 little little kids at our house. Bruce went skiing during the day with Brady, Gary and his kids, and Brian and his kids. By the time he got home, he was pretty wore out and we really didn't want to go anywhere. Most places were pretty busy and we really didn't want to take the kids out in the cold. It's freezing outside!!! Me and Kailey made plans to stay up all night and we both thought that Bruce would for sure fall asleep way before midnight because he does every night! But.... Miss Kailey fell asleep on the couch and me and Bruce actually stayed awake and watched the ball drop at midnight. Kailey was dead asleep and wouldn't wake up for nothing. It was a pretty relaxed night at our house.

December 30th

Today was one of the first days that we were all together so we decided to take a picture :) Very seldom do we actually have all the kids together.... soon Corey and Allie would be going back home to Provo and Brady would be going back to Mississippi.

Merrill Family Party

Today we had a little family party because Brian and Lisa's family is in town from California. We love when they come in to town, they are such a awesome family! I wish they lived closer so we could see them more often.

We had a awesome Christmas this year! It is so much fun having little kids, and watching them on Christmas morning. Kailey was so excited this Christmas, she is at a really fun age and loves everything about Christmas! Kayden is just funny! He loved to play with the paper and basically anything that wasn't a toy :) It was alot of fun having a baby in the house again.

Christmas Eve 2007

It's a tradition to have Christmas Eve at my parents house. We have dinner and open presents and sometimes go and see the lights afterwards.

Christmas Eve 2007

Merrill Christmas Party

Today was one of our family Christmas parties up at Grandma and Grandpa Merrill's house. We had alot fun and alot of food. Brady was in from Mississippi and got to see most of the family too.

It's almost Christmas time! I love this time of year, even though it's freezing outside!!! Kailey is now off track for Christmas and I'm off work until after the first of the year... yippee! Things have been pretty busy at our house. It's seem like there is something going on all the time between Kailey and Kayden. Kailey is a social girl, and she constantly has friends coming over wanting to play. She is in 1st grade and she is loving school. We just found out that today was her teachers (Miss Bowen) last day at school, so when Kailey goes back on track she will have a new teacher. Kailey really liked her, but she seems excited for the new teacher too. That's one thing about Kailey, she usually finds the good in everything and just goes with the flo.

Kayden is 10 months old today... whaa! I can't believe how fast he has grown. He has been so much fun, we have all enjoyed every second with him. He now has 2 teeth on the bottom row, the 2nd one just came in yesterday. They are so cute!!! Over the last few weeks he has been doing a army crawl. He moved so fast. I set him down and he moves to where ever he wants in a big hurry. He is starting to eat a few more foods now, and he's starting to say some new things. "ma-ma" and "da-da" are his favorites of course. :)

Happy 7th Birthday Kailey Bug!!!

Today was Kailey's 7th birthday. In our family we have a tradition that the birthday boy or girl get to pick what ever they want eat. Kailey chose La Luna this year. She's LOVES their cheese quesadilla's and she likes to think she can some what communicate is spanish with the people that work there. It's quite entertaining.

They all came over and sang Happy Birthday to Kailey and they put this huge hat on her! She thought it was so funny!

Kailey's 7th Birthday

Today was Kailey's 7th birthday party. This year we had a party at our house, and we had a ton of kids show up! It was a super busy day, but we had alot of fun. The theme was Hannah Montana. We started off with pizza and then played a few games. We played Hannah Montana music and there were pictures of Hannah Montana all over the floor with numbers on them. It was basically like musical chairs, when the music stops we called out a number and whoever was on that number picked a price. When the kids first got to the party we took a picture of each of them with Kailey, later they all decorated a frame and we put the picture of them in the frame for one of their party favors. The kids were really creative and it was fun to see each of them come up with something different.

Kailey had a Hannah Montana cake, it turned out really cute. I can't believe she is already 7 years old! She is growing so fast it's crazy!

Corey's Birthday

Today we celebrated Corey's birthday. We had dinner and me and Kailey made chocolate cupcakes with sprinkiles and Happy Birthday candles. Corey is wearing some glasses that Kailey made... we all think he's pretty funny :)

School Halloween Party 2007

This year I got help with Kailey's class Halloween party. They had several games set up for them to play, and I was in charge of decorating cookies and juice. The kids had so much fun! Kailey has alot of cute little kids in her class this year!

Halloween 2007

Halloween was such a fun time this year! It was a first for both kids. Of course it was Kayden's first Halloween and this year was the first year she actually wanted to be something "scary". (my little girl is growing up!) Kailey was a vampire bride and she looked great and of course very scary! Kayden was a duck this year. As you can see from the pictures, he was too excited about it about everyone that saw him thought he was the cutest baby ever. I'm not sure daddy was too excited about his son wearing tights, but I thought he was adorable :)

Kailey-Halloween 2007

Kailey was 6 years old in this picture... i can't believe how time flies! It seems like just yesterday she was still just a baby. This was a picture taken at Kailey's school during the Halloween parade.

Kayden- 1st tooth

Kayden had kind of rough time teething with this first tooth. It's funny how kids are so different with things. I don't remember Kailey having such a hard time getting teeth in. It's so sad to see them feeling so bad. We gave Kayden popcycles almost daily to help with the pain. I think he liked the flavors too.

September 11th Flags

I've kind of made it into a tradition now to take Kailey down to see the Healing Field that has all of the flags for rememberance of September 11th. We have made it down every year now since it happened. Every year Kailey understands what happened a little more.
