More Teeth!!!

So Kayden got his 14th tooth today. He has been a bit grouchy lately so we kind of knew something was up. I'm sure more are on the way... poor kid just keeps getting them in!

2nd Grade

It's hard to believe but Kailey started 2nd grade today. She was very excited and totally ready to go this morning. A new teacher and a new school.... I wasn't so excited... i know one day i'll need to let go, but that day isn't today :) I just can't believe how big she is already! Time is going way too fast!

This picture isn't the greatest but it was right before we were headed to school to drop her off. The sun was very bright today and Kailey could barely keep her eyes open :)

We got there a little early. Kailey got in line with the other kids in her class. I couldn't help but wait until the bell rang and the teacher came out to bring them in... then waiting a bit longer until the next bell rang and they shut the door :) She's a bit nervous that she won't know anyone in her class, but she makes friends really fast so i'm sure she will be fine.

Painting!

This is pretty much how we spent out weekend... painting! All of ours walls in the house are white and have been ever since we moved into our house. BORING!!! so... we have been talking about doing this for several years now and now that our wood floor is being installed this week, now was the time to finally get the walls painted. Our ceilings are pretty tall, i'm not tall and i'm deathly afraid of heights so... the first wall took some time. :) Bruce went and got this awesome painting pole which really helped things move along because it's extended pretty far. It's awesome!

Kailey's new school

Kailey will be going to a new school this year. Our boundaries got changed this year so they moved us to Mountain Shadows Elementary. I'm not really excited about the changed, but what do you do? I tried keeping her at her current school with no luck... I'm sure there were lots of parents fighting the change so I was just another one. Anyways, they had a Back to School Night tonight that I took Kailey to. I really like her teacher. She seems very organized and structured which I love. I struggled with Kailey's teacher this last year... that's another story. This year her teacher is Mrs Anderson, she has been teaching for 17 years and seems to be really good. It should be a great year!

Today I took the kids to the park to play and get out of the house for a while. I was kind of wondering how Kayden would be on the swing and wondered if he would like it or not. He LOVED it!!! He was laughing the whole time he was in it, it was really cute! Kailey kept asking if Kayden could go down the slide or do something else... basically anything besides the swing but he didn't want to get out. Next time we go, we'll wait until later in the day. It was HOT!!!
Kayden was so relaxed on the swing, he even sat and drank all of his juice

Before we left Kailey wanted to take Kayden on the slide. He absolutely hated it! He screamed like a little girl. It wasn't even a big slide, but he hated every minute of it.

Speaking of Memories...

So I keep getting asked about what Kailey looked like when she was a baby since I didn't do the whole blogging thing that long ago. Back then the big thing was scrapbooking, which I still try to keep up on. Here is a little about Miss Kailey Bug. She was born on November 29, 2000. She weighed 7lbs 8oz and was 21 inches long. She was born at 1:43pm at Cottonwood Hospital.

I also get asked if Kayden and Kailey looked alike when they were babies... I don't think so. Kayden looks identical to his dad and I think that sometimes he looks a little like Brady (Bruce's oldest son), that would make sense because Brady looks alot like Bruce too :)

Kailey had a ton of dark hair when she was born and the tips were blonde, it was the cutest thing ever! The sad thing is that we could never get pictures to really show the blonde tips so we are left to go by memory only. I remember all of the nurses coming in to see her hair and saying that she is the only baby in the nursery that has been to the salon to have to hair done. She was a very happy baby and was alot of fun. Here are some pictures... the easiest way was to just scan some of her scrapbook pages.
