April 16th, 2008

Today was a great... busy day!!! Today was my birthday. Anyone that knows me, knows that I hate attention. So, today was one of those days I didn't really want to go to work because everyone knew about it. Last year, I got out of it because I was working from home since Kayden was only a few months old. I came down stairs and Kailey and Bruce sang "Happy Birthday" and gave me presents, it was really cute! I get to work and was there for a couple of hours when I get a picture message with the picture below.
The message says "I came to see you on your birthday, come and get me." So cute and such a great surprise!!! Allissa brought the babies in to see me! Yeah!!!
For lunch of group of us from work went out to Blue Iguana for lunch. Yummy! Not on my diet at all but so good and worth it!

Kailey's dentist appt: Kailey had a dentist appt today for her 6 month check up. Not sure why I scheduled it today but oh well. She has a couple of teeth that didn't form all the way and since they are permanent teeth they have to fix them. She has to go back on the 29th to have them fixed. Kind of scary because they will be giving her laughing gas.... It makes me really nervous!

Next was Kailey's first day of Girl Scouts! She was so excited for this day to finally come! While she was at Girl Scouts, Bruce and I went and got take out from Famous Daves, took it home and ate. Yummy!!! Again... not on the diet, but oh so yummy!! After I picked up Kailey we got Cold Stone ice cream.

This was actually one of the better birthday's I've had in years, Bruce made it really fun this year! Now i'm done with getting attention for another year! Yeah!!! That is my favorite part :)

Grandma and Grandpa Merrill

Today we had dinner up at Grandma and Grandpa Merrill's house. They have been down at their house in St George so this is the first we've seen them for a while. We love them both and are glad they are back home so that we can see them more. Kailey was very excited when we got there because this was new people to tell that she was starting Girl Scouts! She also couldn't wait to play around on the piano. After dinner Grandma helped Kailey play some songs and showed Kailey how to work some of the fancy buttons. Kailey was loving every minute of it. Kayden also loves music and was soon was climbing up on Grandma so he could join in the fun :)

Nothing really new happening around our house, but Kayden looked so cute today I decided to take more pictures :)

He has this little plastic baseball that he got from Aunt Mona and Uncle Mike and he LOVES it!!! He drags it around every where, even up the stairs... it's hillarious to see him crawl up the stairs and try to carry that ball.

Happy Birthday Garrett!

Today was Garrett's 1st birthday, this year has gone by so fast! I can't believe both babies are already one!!! Garrett had a great day and LOVED his yummy cake!

Another new tooth

Today Kayden got another new tooth! It is #8 for him!!! He now has 4 on top and 4 on bottom. He is getting so many teeth so fast!

Kayden's New Haircut

First Hair Cut

Kayden had his first hair cut! It turned out so cute! Aunt Allissa found this cute hair salon for little kids called "Cookie Cutters". It is such a good place and the girl that cut Kayden and Garrett's hair was so awesome! They let them sit in a a car, train, etc and they pick out a dvd to watch while getting their hair cut. Garrett did great, and didn't really care what was happening to his hair because he was watching the movie and playing with the car. Kayden was another story... First of all, it was nap time and 2nd of all... clippers! He is very sensitive to noises :) He was fine until she turned on the clippers and then he just cried the rest of the time. Overall, his hair looks so cute! He looks like a big boy now.
