Poor Kailey

Kailey was with her dad this weekend when I received a phone call from them. I knew something was up as soon as I heard her ringtone calling in because I usually don't hear from them all weekend. Anyways, Kailey was riding her skateboard and was on her stomach when the wheel hit the rock and she flew off the skateboard and landed on her face. Her dad was really worried because her face wouldn't stop bleeding so he took her in to have her looked at but she was fine, nothing was broke, she just got scraped up and bruised pretty bad. Something that did brighten her dad a bit when she got home was she had a birthday present waiting for her to open. Our good friends Mike and Mona couldn't make it to Kailey's party because they were at Phoenix for the Nascar race (so jealous!) so they brought over her present this weekend. Kailey was very excited! She got some cute clothes and the operation game.

Aren't they pretty????

So my dryer has recently started making some weird noises and yesterday when I turned it on, it just started banging. From what I've read online, it's the drum that is broke? (that's my girl guess). Anyways... I have been wanting a front loader for years so we went back and forth for a little while deciding to have someone come out and fix it or or just get new ones. The set I have is about 6 years old so it really probably could be fixed but... front loaders :) Bruce's question to me was, why are front loaders better then the regular washer and dryers??? I know he's big on saving money where you can so I brought up how they save like 70% on your water and electric bill :) He has wanted them for a while too, so it really didn't take too much time to decide which ones we wanted. We went to Sears today and they had a unadvertised sale goining on. It's called their friends and family sales and we saved big! We were going to go price them at a few other stores but there is no way we would save this much money on them. Plus it's no interest for 24 months. How can you pass that up???

This pictures is from my phone, but they are so pretty! I'm so excited to do laundry :)

Kailey's Birthday Party

This year for Kailey's birthday party we did a "girly" theme. We found these cute nails just for little girls that had designs on them. I figured this would be much better then trying to paint all of these little nails and trying to get them all to hold still long enough for them to dry without getting finger nail polish all over my furniture :) So... it started out that we were going to do nails and toes... but if anyone knows me, I don't care for feet one bit. I can handle painting Kailey's toes but I couldn't handle touching other peoples feet. My sister helped put their nails on and was also greatful that we weren't doing toes (Thanks a ton Allissa for your help!) All the girls loved their nails! They turned out so cute!

Kailey got a lot of fun presents!

It turned out to be a great day! Kailey and cousin Courtnei had a sleep over at our house that night too. They stayed up a giggled all night and were being total girls when it came time to go to sleep. I think they both came upstairs about 6 times saying that someone was walking around downstairs... crazy girls!!! Of course, nobody was there. I finally went down and slept by them until they both fell asleep :) They both had so much fun!

Parent Teacher Conference

Today we had parent teacher conference for Kailey. I knew she was doing well, so there was no worries there. Her teacher said that she is one of her top students and she is actually going to recommend her for the talented and gifted program in our school district. They would test her and interview her and then she would move to a different school that would challenge her more. I'm not sure it's the route we want to go but it's always nice to hear your child is a smart cookie... not exactly sure where she got it but glad she got brains with her good looks :) We are so proud of how well she has always done in school, and I was especially proud that her teacher had nothing bad to say about her and nothing she needed to work on. Yippee!!! Good job Kailey!!!

Kailey's turning 8!

Well... it's sad to say my my baby girl is turning 8. She actually doesn't turn 8 until the week of Thanksgiving but since we will be in California that week, we decided to have her party this Saturday. She wanted a Icarly party... some of you probably don't know who that is but it's a show she loves to watch. I talked her out of it because there is absolutely nothing with Icarly so it would of left me to doing alot of creative things to come up with ideas. No thank you! We decided to do a manicure/pedicure party. AND I found these little nails at the store that are specifically for little girls so we will be doing those instead of fingernail polish and all that kind of stuff. It should be a fun pary :) Kailey is so excited about it!

Here's a picture of her invite that I made, I thought they turned out very cute! I did take out our address and phone number so we don't have weirdo's showing up at our house :)
