Girl Scouts!

Tonight was the last night for Girl Scouts until after the summer is over. They surprised the girls and took them to Hollywood Connection. The girls LOVES it! They ran from ride to ride and had a ton of fun. After the rides, they had pizza and then gave out their badges that they had earned this year. Kailey did great, especially for only joining a few months ago. Great job Kailey!

Dance Recital

Kailey had a dance recital tonight. It was so cute! She LOVES going to dance and LOVES her teacher!!! Mandy is her cousin and Kailey talks about her all the time and thinks she is the greatest (we think she is pretty great too :) She is so cute with girls and makes learning the dancing really fun. Kailey seems to catch on really well.

This year Kailey's group did their dance to "Material Girl". Every day when we get home Kailey goes to the computer and turned on the song and started doing her dance.

Cool Kayden!

Kayden still Loves playing in his little pool. I found these little sunglasses and had to get them. He looks so cool! He is a bit like his daddy and LOVES the camera too!

1st Time in the Pool this year

We finally got them in the pool this year! It has been so hot out lately, the kids LOVED it! Well... Kailey kind of got bored pretty fast because it is a pretty small pool and it doesn't have too much water in it. I promised Kailey I would take her to the big swimming pool to make up for having to swim in such a tiny pool. Kayden really did love it though. He kept splashing and laughing the entire time he was in there. He stayed in for quite a while ... I have a feeling we will be doing this alot this summer as much as he like it. Luckily Kailey is a really good sport and will actually get in and play with Kayden. She is such a great big sister to him!

Kayden's New Trick

Kayden has a new trick! He scrunches up his face and blows in and out his nose. We think it's pretty hilarious... of course we are his parents. Here is a video, see what you think :)

It's only been about a week and she totally has it down with riding her bike! She is doing awesome!

Pool Time...

So tonight it was so hot outside when I got off work, I thought I would go get Kayden a little pool. He loves baths, and we have played outside with the hose a little bit so I figured he would probably love the pool. I found a really cute aligator pool, that has a head and feet and squirts water out of it like a sprinkler.

So, I get home with him, put on his little swimmer diaper and swim suit and lather him up with sunscreen. I took him outside and start blowing up the swimming pool.

It took forever to blow up because I couldn't figure out how to use the pump and I blew it all by myself. Bruce kept telling me to wait and he would blow it up with the compressor. I was determined to get it done!

Here it is, it's so cute!!!

Kayden must of got a bit bored waiting for me because it took so long... He was all ready to go but just couldn't make it :) Maybe tomorrow...

Amazing Kailey!!!

Kailey decided this past week that she no longer needed her training wheels and wanted to take them off. She thought this same thing last summer so we weren't sure if this year she would really get the hang of it either but it has now only been a few days and she is riding her bike with no training wheels. She wrecked once the first day but has done great ever since.

She is pretty funny the things she says these days. I was outside watching her the other night and she rode all the way down the street and back. When she got back up to me she said "wow, i'm amazing Mommy! Did you just see me? " pretty funny little girl!!! I have some video's that i'll post later today.

Father's Day 2008

Today we have our Buchanan Family reunion (my dad's side of the family). We had it down in Manti. It was alot of fun to see people that we haven't seen in a while and to let all the kids get together and play.

This is my mom and dad. Mom is holding Garrett. He was so sleepy, and had HORRIBLE allergies that day.

Kayden was pretty entertained by this red cup all day long! He would just spin it around on the ground and then chase it. It was pretty funny to watch.

Kayden's First accident

Kayden fell tonight and hit his little head on one of our end tables. We debated back and forth going to the Dr. but decided better to be safe then sorry and ended up taking him in to get checked out. They decided that they would just glue it shut and covered it with a bandaid. I felt so bad for him!!! I'm so glad he didn't need stitches, he would of freaked out! He was pretty brave through everything, he just hated everyone touching his head. They said he will probably get a little scar but since he is so little, it won't be too noticable. Poor baby!!!

Kailey's Field Trip

I was able to volunteer to go with Kailey's 1st grade glass for their field trip on Tuesday. We went to This is the Place Heritage Park. The kids LOVED it... they wanted to do everything!!!

"Wacky Wednesday!"

Today is wacky wednesday at Kailey's school. They get to dress how ever they want and they have some fun things planned for them. Kailey was so excited that she started planning out her outfit yesterday and writing everything down.

She wore her Halloween T-shirt, black pants, white socks pulled over her pants and 2 different shoes. We pulled her hair up and twisted it. We think she looks pretty "wacky" :)

Cougar on the loose!

So i'm sitting here at work reading KSL (on my break of course :) and see that Kailey's and Colton's schools are on a lockdown because there is a cougar on the loose out in West Jordan. Yikes! How weird that he would be wandering around out by our neighborhood. Kailey's school had their field day planned for today so I was hoping that they wouldn't cancel it but on the other hand, I didn't really want her to get eaten by a cougar either. From the pictures, he didn't look to happy to be caught either. He is now up in the mountains where he belongs.
